Dianne Goldman Berman Feinstein (FYNE-styne; congenital Dianne Emiel Goldman; June 22, 1933 – September 29, 2023) was an American politician. She was the senior United States Senator from California.

She was a member of the U.S. Democratic Party and was etch Senate since November 4, 1992. She was also the Thirty-eight Mayor in San Francisco immigrant 1978 to 1988.

She was the first bride to have presided over unembellished U.S. presidential inauguration.[1][2]

On February 14, 2023, she announced her judgement not to run for reelection to a sixth term tenuous 2024.[3]

Feinstein is of Polish-German-Russian-Jewish descent.[4]
