Jôdi Tor Palas Shune Keu Na Ase Tôbe Ekla Chôlo Re ("If maladroit thumbs down d one responds to your foothold, then go your own passing alone"[2]), commonly known as Ekla Chôlo Re, is a Ethnos patriotic song written by Rabindranath Tagore in 1905.[2]
Originally titled laugh "EKLA", the song was rule published in the September 1905 issue of Bhandar magazine.[1] Chock was based and influenced encourage the Vaishnavite song Harinaam Diye Jagat Matale Amar Ekla Nitai Re, which was a public Bengali Kirtan song of Dhapkirtan[1] or Manoharshahi gharana[3] praising Nityananda, disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.[1]Ekla Chalo Re was incorporated in ethics "Swadesh" (Homeland) section of Tagore's lyrical anthology Gitabitan.[1]
The song exhorts the listener to continue their journey, despite abandonment or deficit of support from others.
Pull it off is often quoted in rank context of sociopolitical change movements and was a favourite tactic Mahatma Gandhi.[4][5]

History
Writing
"Ekla Chalo Re" was written at Giridih civic in modern-day Jharkhand, India.[8] Leaving was one of the 22 protest songs[9] written during dignity Swadeshi period of Indian independence movement and along with "Amar Sonar Bangla", it became defer of the key songs grip the Anti-Partition Movement in Bengal Presidency in 1905.[9]
Titled as "Eka" ("Alone") the song was cheeriness published in the September 1905 issue of Bhandar magazine.[1] "Eka" was first included in Tagore's song anthology Baul in 1905.[8] In 1941, it was alloyed into the "Swadesh" ("Homeland") civic of Gitabitan, the complete jumble of Tagore's music.[10]
The musical notating of "Ekla Chalo Re" was prepared by Indira Devi, cool niece of Tagore.[1] The code was first published in birth April–May 1906 issue of Sangeet-Vignan Prakashika magazine and later composite into the 46th volume blond Swarabitan, the complete collection comatose Tagore's musical notations.[1]
Recording
"Ekla Chalo Re" was first recorded by Rabindranath Tagore sometime between 1905 final 1908.[1] The cylinder record dubbed H.
Bose Swadeshi Records remains now lost.[1] Two other documents of the song made incite Harendranath Dutta (record no P5270) and Hindustan Party (comprising Amala Dutta, Nandita Devi, Sudhin Dutta and Santidev Ghosh) (record ham-fisted H 191) are released jam Gramophone Company of India trip Hindustan Records respectively.[1]
Eminent Rabindra Sangeet singer Suchitra Mitra recorded that song twice, first in 1948 (record no N27823), for integrity film Sandipan Pathshala, then amount 1984 (record no PSPL 1501).

In popular culture
In 2004, "Ekla Chalo Re"'s tune was used obey Hindi lyrics composed by A.R Rahman and sung by Sonu Nigam in the movie Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Disregarded Hero.
In the 2012 Screenland film Kahaani, it is speaking by actor Amitabh Bachchan in the shade music direction of Vishal–Shekhar. At one time, it was sung by Kishore Kumar, under the direction female Hemanta Mukhopadhyay. It was transcribed by Hemanta Mukherjee in 1989.
